Chesley Smith is a native Wacoan who started painting at age 7. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in art, and taught art at Paul Quinn College for over 20 years. Chesley's goal is to inspire, enrich, and educate others about the history, traditions, and heritage of the African diaspora through paintings, drawings, collage, and prints. He believes that history links us to our past and to each other, and that learning about our cultures binds us and our communities.
